Zach Gerland has 11 years of energy finance & energy private equity experience and has closed on over $1.3 billion of private equity energy transactions. Mr. Gerland’s responsibilities include managing and originating investments for North Hudson. Prior to joining North Hudson, Mr. Gerland was a Director with Castlelake, L.P. where he headed the firm’s oil and gas investing strategy and was responsible for originating, structuring, executing, and managing energy private equity and credit investments. Prior to Castlelake, Mr. Gerland was a Vice President with Quintana Capital where he managed private equity investments in upstream, midstream, downstream, and metals and mining sectors. Prior to Quintana, Mr. Gerland was an Analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group with Jefferies where he focused on M&A and capital markets transactions in the upstream and energy services sectors. Prior to Jefferies, Mr. Gerland was a Senior Financial Analyst with EDF Trading North America, a global energy trading firm, where he had a range of concurrent responsibilities including corporate development, M&A, corporate finance, accounting, and tax. Mr. Gerland earned his B.S. and M.S. in Accounting and Finance from Louisiana State University where he graduated magna cum laude.
